Indian Internet SPY NETRA Going to launch soon by Government

Yes, you have heard right. Indian government has finally developed its Internet SPY system 'NETRA' to trace Internet Usage within the country and to take control Cyber activities. The Internet SPY system 'Netra' is capable of capturing Voice traffic passing though Video and Voice conferencing tools like Skype and Google Talk. The SPY system 'NETRA' can also sniff Twitter Posts, Status Updates on Facebook, Blog Posts and almost of sort of activities on Internet.


The 'Netra' system was developed by Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (CAIR), a lab under Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) . The aim of development was to deal with computer security issues , promote feeling of IT security across nation, and tracking Cyber mis-usages . 

The inter-ministerial group favoured allocation of 300 GB of storage space to a maximum of three security agencies, including the Intelligence Bureau and Cabinet Secretariat, for intercepted internet traffic and an extra 100 GB would be assigned to the remaining law enforcement agencies.
